Top Rail for Glass 30 × 28mm, 3m Length — Satin

Description

Our satin top rail for glass is a slotted cap rail that sits over the top edge of the glass in a post-free balustrade — giving you something to hold, tying the panels together across the run and finishing the glass line. Satin anodised aluminium, in a 30 × 28mm square profile.

Supplied in 3 metre lengths and cut to size on site. Longer runs are made up from several lengths joined with an internal connector, which slides inside the rail so the joint closes up with nothing visible from outside. No welding needed.

The gasket is ordered separately. The rail is one profile that takes any glass from 8mm to 21.5mm — it is the rubber gasket that sizes it to your panels, so choose the gasket to match your glass thickness and order the same number of metres as you have rail.

• Which systems does this fit?

  Our spigot and channel glass balustrade systems, on glass from 10mm to 21.5mm. It isn't needed on the post & handrail system (which has its own continuous rail) or the semi-frameless system (topped with post caps).

• Do I need a top rail on my glass balustrade?

  On our spigot system it is optional on level runs: the glass is chosen by the drop (10mm toughened under 600mm, 17.5mm toughened laminated at 600mm or more) with or without the rail. Stairs need a handrail, so if any part of your balustrade runs up stairs the top rail is added along the whole run.
