    Approved Document K gives 1100mm for guarding to the edges of roofs and external balconies.
  • Fixing and waterproofing
    Base plates and channels must fix into a sound structural deck, upstand or parapet. Waterproofing around the fixings is by others, so agree the detail with your roofer before you order. Fixing bolts are not included.
  • Glass
    Where the glass is the guarding, use toughened laminated glass. Our frameless system uses 17.5mm laminated as standard.
  • Private homes
    Our systems are supplied for private homes. Communal and commercial roof terraces fall under higher load categories and need a project-specific design.
