Measure each run along the face the posts fix to — from the end of the structure, or a corner, to the next corner or end — in your chosen unit, and the calculator works out your posts, handrail, fittings and glass with posts spaced evenly at a maximum of 1200 mm centres. End posts are set 80mm in from the end of the structure, and corner posts sit on a corner bracket just off the corner. Every post fixes to the face of the structure, so you need at least 200mm of solid structure below finished floor level. The glass is made to measure for your layout, drilled for the clamp security pins, and charged by the linear metre with your job total rounded up to the next whole metre. Before anything is made we send you CAD drawings to confirm every measurement and pane size. Made-to-measure glass takes 3–4 weeks and is non-returnable unless faulty. The 42.4mm handrail sits on a saddle on every post (an adjustable saddle on stair posts and a 90° elbow bracket on corner posts), finishes flush with the end of the structure and is supplied in stock tube lengths, cut to size on site, with in-line connectors where lengths join. Each open end of the handrail takes an end cap, or a wall flange where it meets a wall. Saddle fixings are included; the bolts that fix the posts to your structure are not, as the right fixing depends on what you’re fixing to.
