Glass Balustrade Channel with Wedges — Black (Base Fix)

Description

Our black glass balustrade channel is the base-fix aluminium channel behind a frameless glass balustrade. The glass stands in the channel and is held along its full bottom edge, so there are no posts, spigots or clamps on show. Every length comes with the rubbers and wedges for your chosen glass thickness, so it arrives ready to glaze.

What is included

• Black powder-coated aluminium base-fix channel, 2.5m or 5m long
• Rubbers and wedges to suit 17.5mm or 21.5mm glass: one pack with a 2.5m length, two packs with a 5m length

Not included: glass, fixing bolts, end caps, corners, connecting pins and the wedge tool. All are available separately below.

Glass thickness

The channel takes 17.5mm or 21.5mm toughened laminated glass. Select the thickness you will be glazing with and we send the matching rubbers and wedges. Not sure which you need? Send us your fall height and we will confirm it before you order.

Fixing details

The channel is base fixed: it bolts down through its base into solid structural material beneath, with no core drilling and no cast-in channel. Fixing bolts are not supplied, as the right fixing depends on what you are fixing into. Lengths join end to end with connecting pins to keep the run straight, and 90° corner sections turn the run.

The glass is dry glazed. Once the panels are set in the rubbers, the wedges are tightened with the wedge adjustment tool to lock the glass in place, with no cement or resin.

Where to use it

A glass balustrade channel suits decking, patios, terraces and balconies where you want an uninterrupted view. Combine 2.5m and 5m lengths to complete your run, and finish exposed ends with end caps.
