The long tee joins a branch of handrail tube into a main run without breaking it. Where a short return comes off the side of a balustrade — a stub back to a wall, or a return either side of a gate opening — the tee lets the branch meet the main rail cleanly and keeps the run reading as one continuous line.
Worth knowing: the tee joins the rail, but it doesn't help the wire. Wire has to terminate into eyebolts in a post, and our posts are drilled on one or two faces only. A return that tees off a mid-run post needs a third face drilled and tapped on site, fitted with eyebolt connectors. If you'd rather not drill, stand the return on its own pair of posts instead.
316 marine-grade stainless steel, matching the handrail tube and the rest of the wire balustrade system. Not sure how your returns should be set out? Call the team on 01282 526428.
