Glass Spigot – Black

Description

Our black glass spigots hold the bottom edge of a glass panel upright from the floor, giving a frameless look with no posts or base channel. Each square spigot is Duplex 2205 stainless steel, powder-coated black over the same steel as our satin spigots.

The spigots take glass from 10mm to 21.5mm thick and hold it 45mm above the base, with the packer fitted. Each one bolts through its oval base plate into a solid structural base, and a black base plate cover hides the fixings. Fixing bolts are not supplied, because the right anchor depends on what you are fixing into.

Use two spigots per glass panel, fixed 150mm in from each edge. In our kits that means 10mm toughened glass in panels up to 1100mm wide where the drop is under 600mm, and 17.5mm toughened laminated glass in panels up to 1000mm wide at 600mm or more.

Sold individually for repairs, extensions or your own layout. For a full run with glass, see the black spigot glass balustrade kit, or choose satin glass spigots.

FAQs

• How many spigots do I need?

Two per glass panel, fixed 150mm in from each panel edge. Panels are up to 1100mm wide under a 600mm drop and up to 1000mm wide at 600mm or more, so spigots are never more than 700mm apart on a guarding run. Our spigot kit calculator works this out for you.

• What glass do these spigots take?

Any glass from 10mm to 21.5mm thick. Our spigot kits use 10mm toughened glass where the drop is under 600mm, and 17.5mm toughened laminated glass where the drop is 600mm or more.

• Are fixing bolts included?

No — the correct bolt depends on the substrate you're fixing into, so bolts are supplied separately. Contact the team if you're unsure what to use for your surface.

• Is satin better than black outdoors?

Both are Duplex 2205 stainless steel: satin is the bare brushed steel, black is the same steel with a powder-coated finish. Satin is the traditional choice beside the sea or a pool, because there is no coating to keep clean.
