Toughened glass panels in stock sizes, held in two heights and nine widths. Because these are standard sizes rather than cut to order, they are dispatched in around 7 working days instead of the 3–4 weeks a made-to-measure pane takes — and they cost less.
Used for glass balustrades around patios, decking, balconies, terraces and garden steps, as infill panels in our post systems, and as clear screens where you want shelter without losing the view.
The height is set by the system you are building, not by preference:
Both reach a finished guarding height of 1100mm when fitted to our posts.
Width is set by your post spacing. As a rule of thumb the panel is around 100mm narrower than the distance between post centres, because the posts and clamps take up the gap. If you are unsure, use the calculator on the system page — it works out how many panels you need and which widths to order.
Every panel is 10mm clear float toughened safety glass with polished edges and dubbed corners, manufactured to BS EN 12150. Toughened glass is heat-treated so that if it ever breaks it fragments into small blunt pieces rather than sharp shards, which is why it is specified for balustrades and barriers.
Panels are delivered on a pallet with the date arranged in advance. Glass is heavy, so please have someone available to help offload.
We cut glass to any size — see our made-to-measure toughened glass. Custom panes take 3–4 weeks and are non-returnable unless faulty, so it is worth checking whether a stock size fits your run first. Most runs can be set out to suit them.

It depends on the system. The 900mm panels are for the post & handrail system, where a tubular handrail runs along the top of the posts. The 1024mm panels are for the semi-frameless system, where the glass itself forms the full guard. Both reach a finished guarding height of 1100mm once fitted to our posts.
Width is set by your post spacing. The panel sits between two posts and is around 100mm narrower than the distance between post centres, because the posts and clamps take up the gap. The calculator on the system page works this out for you and tells you exactly which widths to order.
Yes. The same panels work as clear screens and wind breaks around patios, decking and seating areas. You still need posts and clamps to hold them, and if the panels are guarding a drop of any kind then the height and spacing rules for barriers apply - ask us if you are not sure which applies to your project.
Most runs can be set out to suit stock sizes, and this is worth doing because it saves you money and around three weeks. Where a run genuinely cannot be divided into stock widths, we cut glass to any size - the made-to-measure option takes 3-4 weeks and is non-returnable unless faulty.
No. Toughened glass cannot be cut, drilled or worked after manufacture - any attempt will shatter the panel. If you need a different size it has to be made to that size from the start.
Yes. Toughened safety glass is heat-treated so that if it does break it fragments into small blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. This is why toughened glass is specified for balustrades and barriers, and it is what BS EN 12150 covers.
On a pallet, with the delivery date arranged in advance. Glass is heavy - a full balustrade order can run to several hundred kilograms - so please have someone available to help offload, and check the panels before signing.
