• How does a swageless connector work?

  Traditional wire fittings are swaged — crushed onto the wire with a specialist tool. Swageless connectors grip the wire mechanically instead: thread the wire in, secure it with a locking collar, and it's held — no swaging tool, no crimping, and the wire can be released or adjusted later. It's what makes this system genuinely DIY-installable.

• When do I use a plain buckle instead of a turnbuckle?

  At the anchored end of each wire — the end that just needs holding, not adjusting. Each wire only needs tensioning from one end, so the usual arrangement is a plain buckle at one end and a turnbuckle at the other: for a run of 7 wires, that's 7 of each.
