The swageless turnbuckle connector tensions each wire in a wire balustrade — thread the 3mm wire in, secure it with a locking collar, and turn the body until the wire is taut with no visible sag. • Do I need a turnbuckle on every wire?

  Each wire needs a means of tensioning, and the turnbuckle is how you achieve and maintain that tension — it also lets you re-tighten later without dismantling anything. For the anchored end of a run without adjustment, the plain buckle connector does the terminating.

• What's the difference between the turnbuckle and the plain buckle connector?

  The turnbuckle is the adjustable one — turning its body pulls the wire tighter, so it's how each wire gets tensioned, and how you re-tension it later. The plain buckle has no adjustment: it simply grips and terminates the wire. In a typical run, each wire has a plain buckle anchoring one end and a turnbuckle at the other doing the tensioning.

• Do I need a turnbuckle on every wire?

  Yes — each wire needs its own tensioning point, so a run of 7 wires uses 7 turnbuckles, one per wire, with a plain buckle terminating the opposite end of each. The turnbuckle also lets you re-tighten that wire later without dismantling anything.
