These Aluminium Balustrade Fixed Brackets are essential for securing horizontal rails in straight runs. Designed to create strong, clean connections between the rail and post, each bracket is made from powder-coated aluminium to match the rest of the system.
Ideal for level sections of your balustrade system — such as decking, patios, balconies and walkways — these brackets use a simple screw-through design for fast, secure installation.
Each bracket set is compatible with The Outdoor Look’s 75mm aluminium posts and all standard rail kits. Their robust construction ensures a rigid fit that maintains the visual line of your handrail system.
Use fixed brackets for main spans or when installing railing kits between posts on flat surfaces. Supplied in matching black finish, these brackets blend perfectly into your modern aluminium balustrade layout.

Yes. The system is made from aluminium with a durable powder-coated finish, making it:
It’s designed for year-round outdoor exposure in UK conditions.
The fixed brackets connect the rails to the posts on straight runs and standard 90° corners, holding the rails securely in the horizontal position. They're the standard bracket for a normal balustrade layout.
Fixed brackets hold rails level for straight runs and square corners. Stair brackets angle rails down a staircase, and swivel brackets handle non-90° corners. For a standard flat, square layout, fixed brackets are what you need.
Fixed brackets are included with the rail kits, so for a standard job you won't need to buy any extra. The main time you'd need additional fixed brackets is when you're reusing a rail off-cut elsewhere in your project — that off-cut needs its own brackets to fix it in place. If your layout uses off-cuts this way, our balustrade calculator accounts for the extra brackets automatically.

Our aluminium balustrade is designed and tested in line with BS 6180:2011, the British Standard for barriers in and around buildings — so you can install it with confidence around domestic decking, patios, balconies and stairs.
It's designed and tested in line with BS 6180:2011, the British Standard referenced for barriers under Approved Document K. It's load-tested and certified for domestic single-family use (0.36 kN/m). For communal, commercial or public areas, higher load classes apply — speak to us or your building designer first.
The finished guarding height is 1100 mm, and pickets are spaced at 96.5 mm so a 100 mm sphere cannot pass through — meeting the gap requirement for domestic guarding.
