Description
The side fix mid post sits between glass panels in a run of our side mounted post & handrail glass balustrade, where the posts fix to the face of the structure (the edge of a deck, landing, balcony or stair string) instead of on top of it. It's a 42.4mm diameter post in uncoated 316 marine-grade stainless steel with a satin brushed finish, with four glass clamps pre-fitted, two each side, for the system's 10mm toughened glass.
The post is 1178mm long and fixes to the face through its lower section, leaving 978mm above floor level. That's the same height as our surface-fix posts, so the saddle and 42.4mm handrail on top give the same 1100mm finished height. Glass panels are 900mm high, with posts at up to 1200mm centres. The system is designed in line with BS 6180:2011.
The saddle, handrail tube and glass are sold separately, and fixings are not included. See the full side mounted glass balustrade range.
