Wire Balustrade Corner Post – 48.3mm

Description

The corner post takes a wire balustrade around a change of direction. Wires from each side of the corner anchor to their own set of eyebolts — 7 each side, 14 in total, at 132mm centres — rather than bending around the post, which keeps every wire straight and properly tensioned. It's a 48.3mm diameter post in 316 marine-grade stainless steel with a welded base plate and a pre-installed saddle for the handrail tube.  The welded base fixes to most surfaces, including timber decking, concrete, metal and brick — the correct fixings depend on your surface, so they're not included.

• Why does a corner need its own post type?

  Wire shouldn't bend around a corner — it strains the wire and the post and makes tensioning difficult. The corner post gives each side of the corner its own anchor points, so both runs stay straight, independently tensioned and neat.
