Wire Balustrade Start/End Post – 48.3mm

Description

The start/end post begins or finishes each run of a wire balustrade. It's a 48.3mm diameter post in 316 marine-grade stainless steel, with a welded base plate, a pre-installed saddle for the handrail tube, and 7 M6 eyebolts fitted — one anchor point per wire, with the wires set at 132mm centres.  The welded base fixes to most surfaces, including timber decking, concrete, metal and brick — the correct fixings depend on your surface, so they're not included.

Use one at the start and one at the end of every run, with mid posts at 1.5m spacings along the run and corner posts where the run changes direction — or order everything at once with the Build Your Own wire balustrade kit. • Which posts do I need for my run?

  Each straight run starts and ends with a start/end post. Along the run, use mid posts at 1.5m spacings, and corner posts wherever the balustrade changes direction. The wires thread between them at 132mm centres, finished with the 48.3mm handrail tube on top — or use the Build Your Own kit and we'll confirm the layout with you.
